I was just looking at the forecasts and thinking of you and those in the path of winds and water. I wasn't on medication when we lived near the coast, so do not remember if there were warnings about keeping it safely at hand. Please check the storage requirements as well as being sure you have enough supply on hand.

Sounds like you are well prepared , Bruce; although we could wish all of you out of the path of the storms.

Passed us here in fort Lauderdale but FYI they said we had seen worst by Sunday at 2:00 pm however winds and rain since then have been much worse! Lots of street flooding today. This is a huge long lasting storm.

Those preparing should turn AC waaaaayyyyyy down, mine was at 65 so if you lose power stays cool for awhile. Same for refrigerator and freezer.

FYI winds of 25-45 seemed to result about 40,000 without power in Dade county and 30000 without power in Broward. My house had power arcs all day yesterday when tree branches were blowing into lines. Today still about 25,000 out in Dade and 20,000 in Broward.
Of course, Isaac will be different when it hits land next

My nephew in FLD has been without power, for 3 days.
And this - was an area - not supposed to be affected?

I am happy to say I have not experienced anything like that ever, and I am putting my trust that you all will take care of yourselves and each other. Trust that things will work out in the end.

My son lives in Baton Rouge, La. it is 1 1/2 hrs north of new orleans-he is in direct line of hurricane. This will be second time for him, Not Katrina,he moved there after that. First one ,Ike, left him without power for 8 days. of course he lived in an apt then. He has a house surrounded by several very tall trees-- a big concern!! So on his behalf I thank you all for your concern and prayers!! Karen
