I would say it is not safe.
I avoid all illnesses as much as possible as recommended by my doctor, She recommended I wear rubber gloves in the grocery store because there are a lot of germs there. I never go around anyone who is sick. My husband and I both wash hands immediately upon entering the house.
If we get sick our immune system kicks in and mg symtoms flair.
I avoid all sicknesses. If I get a cold...coughing wears out my throat and then breathing.
Maybe you will do fine....who knows
I know the bugs are everywhere, but those flippin' hospitals have SUPERBUGS!
Hopefully your nursing position allows you some flexibility in your region/area as it does in mine. I know some nurses that work at home reviewing charts, encoding, etc.
Like others here have already said, we try to limit our exposure to other sick people as much as we can.
