I am back again with some questions. It turns out that I am aneamic, my Iron levels are low and staying low, the Doc thinks that it is due to the Blood lose during my Themectomy, as prior to the Operation my iron levels were normal.
The thinh is that the Doc (an Oncologist) has recomemded a course of Iron suppliments, but my limited research tells me that these are not 'vitamins' and can have some serious side effects. (LOL like we worry about this)
If anybody has nay advise, personal reflections or input on the matter I would be vey grateful

At one point, I was anemic after another type of surgery and had a course of iron infusions. I didn't have any side effects with that.
Thanks for sharing your pictures. It is good to know the vest helped and what it looks like. You went to some pretty hot and steamy places so it was a good test. Glad your family had a good vacation!

I have been anemic off and on for the last several years. I now take iron supplements daily and sometimes twice daily. As long as I do this my levels stay good. I was anemic after my thymectomy too but received several units of blood in the hospital. Remind me of your medications, are you on an immunosuppressant? My neuro warned me they can cause both decreased red and white cells.

I am on no imunosuppresents at the moment, I am taking a potassium suppliment, 10mg of Prednisone, and mestinin as required.
what is the daily dosage of the iron suppliment that you take, the doc is recomending 100mg, From what I have read that is quite a bit??
