"A correlation has been observed, over the last decades, between the decline of certain infectious diseases and the increase in autoimmune diseases. The causal relationship between these two observations has been directly demonstrated in animal models and indirectly in man. I've always thought MG had to have some sort of positive role in evolution -- like sickle cell anemia protects people from malaria. If only I had TB I wouldn't have gotten MG! Which would YOU rather have? I can't answer that. ~Joe
