The following link goes to a story from 7/24/12 about an 86-year-old MGer, who finally received the Silver and Bronze Stars he earned on Okinawa. What struck me was the fact that he's lived with MG for 60+ years! Proof that we MG'ers can live to ripe old ages! ~joe
FORT CARSON, Colo. -- John Krajeski says he is finally at peace.
"I think I sleep better at night, now," he said, chuckling. "I wanted at least this recognition. It was something I needed to do before I went to my grave."
For years, Krajeski, 86, had been trying to receive the Silver Star and Bronze Star medals he had been promised 67 years earlier after performing heroic actions on the island of Okinawa, Japan....

Hopefully he had some good years of remission in there. Living with MG for sixty years would be pretty rough for anyone. Although if I get sixty more years MG or not, I will be happy.
