I am cooking Sunday dinner for 6 tomorrow. Something I used to do frequently. It is a celebration of one day at a time. If I need to sleep all Monday, fine, I did something I enjoyed. We have to try to take back our lives, maybe, on little baby step at a time.. or, one big yard at a time.

So don't ever give up , not ever and you put a smile on my face , very Happy for you..Cj
I get weak just smelling the grass when others are cutting it. I can't imagine mowing my own lawn again. So happy that you find yourself gaining more and more of your "old" self back.

This is huge!
I have been able to go out in the garden for the first time in months the past five days....It is a huge thing to do these things we once loved to do. I have to slow down a bit as I overdid but I am managing some time out every morning if I go out first thing.
I hope your husband recovers well and quickly. My husband is having problems too and I am hoping to do a bit more then usual.
I celebrate your mowimg....front and backyards...very impressive!

This all really changes our perspective , doesn't it?
This weekend my son came home and then my daughter. As I was running up and down the steps changing sheets and washing bathrooms....my legs were sore as I walked up the steps. My thoughts were....thank God I can do this.
I remember a day when I couldn't so I am always so great full to get ready for them to visit.
I am so happy you can cut your lawn.
Hubby is recovering well and went to work yesterday. I'm having to drive us everywhere as the hernia was on his driving leg. I have to come home from work and rest before making dinner (easy stuff and making two dinners at once).
I loved the movie I watched - about a Scrabble tournament and its participants. My kids and I are Scrabble fiends so they are watching it on YouTube. So glad we've always had a pastime that doesn't take much energy and glad to not have vision problems. Now cognitive issues with undiagnosed celiac and low calcium meant the kids skunked me for a few years but I can almost win against them now.
Lawn is growing quickly again so I am booking most of next weekend for Lawn Adventure #2!
