Broke out in a rash last week but had eaten lots of tomatoes. Told to wait and try the Cellcept without eating tomatoes.

I was really good and didn't have any sauce, condiment etc with tomatoes.

Tried the Cellcept yesterday and was okay but the rash it back today.

I really had high hopes and am very disappointed.

Sorry to hear that. Could it be possible your dosage is too high? I think I took too much in the beginning, like perhaps double dosing and got a slight petechial rash. I can't be sure as it could have been my body adjusting. It did not dissuade my neuro as she said to keep taking it. I have always taken 1000 mg 2x a day from the start.

How much are you taking.

You know I am a big supporter of cellcept too. I think we all owe it to ourselves to try it if we can.

Did the rash come when you started cellcept?So sorry to hear. I would just make sure I take it a hour before or after meals as is directed.

I was taking 500 mgs twice a day and moved up to 1000mg twice a day about 2 weeks ago.

I was taking 2 hours after meals and one hour before meals.

I took a Clariton D last night plus am on 30mg prednisone. They said the reaction would have been worse if I had not been on those meds.

When my pharmacy changed manufacturers I developed a rash. TEVA is the manufacturer I have no problems with.
Any changes there?

My pharmacy could only get Apotex Corp.

I will pass the information on the my doctor. I have a call in for her now and see her on Monday.

Teva was the generic I COULD have taken, and it did look pretty good to me. If I had no choice, I would have taken the Teva also...for what that is worth.

I pay more and get name brand cellcept.

I will call my pharmacy in the morning and then report the results to my doctor. I really don't want to give up on Cellcept.

Also my rash is more like a blush.
