This disease does throw plans for a loop so we are saving like crazy for retirement/disability. At least I have long term disability for the first time in my life with work. I probably wouldn't qualify if I applied elsewhere but it is a bit of a cushion.

Good discussion topic Elle as I find it interesting to hear how everyone else is functioning in work environment . Make no mistake to those who don't go to work that they in my eyes do have a full time job in the management of Mg .

I feel lucky that my dx has come during our slow time at work but worry about what will happen in a few months. Right now I'm trying to figure out meds mix that works for me. This all being so new. Some days (like today) I still can't even wrap my brain around it and I want to just stop all these pills but I know better.
I work in live entertainment industry which is the reason for the late late long days/nights and weekends. It can tend to be a young staff, mostly because of the crazy schedule, so "keeping up" has been on my mind. I don't want to let anyone down. One day at a time, right. :)
I worked full time with adjustments - Tue/Thur from home 8-4. I had thymectomy in Nov13 which found thymoma so I had chemo. Returnedto work 2 Jun on six weeks phased return. Plan to do my 'normal' hours starting tomorrow. I rest in the first aid room for at least half hour when I am in the office. My job is not physically demanding but can be high pressure due to deadlines and regulatory requirements.
