I have heard several people mention Methodist Neurological Institute in Houston. They have a MG Educational Conference Saturday Oct 20th from 8am Noon. You will be able to meet several other people with MG and get some important information.
You can find more information that Maryt936 posted about the conference at http://www.dailystrength.org/c/Myasthenia_Gravis/forum/14916208-mg-patient-ed-conference
If you do not hear from anyone from the Houston area I would suggest that you consider the Methodist Neurological Institute http://www.methodisthealth.com/ni.cfm?id=35607
Methodist Hospital is highly regarded and they also have a MG Clinic.
Until you get an appointment remember that physical activities and stress are very common triggers that affect MG. Get lots of rest and avoid anything stressful. You will learn very soon what your body will tolerate.
It is really great if your husband can go with you to your doctors appointment. If is important that he understands everything about MG and how it will affect you and will very likely affect your daily activities.
Let us know how you are doing.
