Didn't want this to get entirely lost in my weekly bump of the introduction to the links group, so reproducing it here:
Here's a late Friday bump. With so many people new to MG here and the time of year when there is a lot of both good and bad stress and any is "bad" for us, just a reminder to be sure you have your emergency packet at hand and a gentle reminder to eat your green and yellow vegetables and, as my grandmother used to say, if you have cookies, three is a good number, and you will need to get your sleep at night or Santa Claus will put coal in your stocking.
If you are not doing well, and even if you are, be sure you have phone numbers of those covering for the holidays and enough medication. And have as good a time as you can--being happy is good for lots of things, including MG. Now if I can just follow my own "good advice." b.
The information to take to the hospital is in the Links group, along with tips for daily living. Craig reminded me that I don't hear problems about brushing teeth at night from any other group of upstanding citizenry and what a help an electric toothbrush has been and if I could only find a way to get the toothpaste magically on the tooth brush. b.

This is even more important to remember if you are traveling to see love ones. Remember to pack the items that B has listed. Whenever you are out of town be knowledgeable about the local hospitals and which one you would go to in case of an emergency.

All done with our Christmas parties already -- and only a few hundred of Margo's Christmas cookies left while we hunker down for the last two of her chemotherapy before surgery and radiation in the new year. Nothing like a spouse with cancer to take your mind off of your own problems!
My latest poetic effort is to re-write the Simon-Garfunkel Kodachrome song of 1973 to be renamed Prednisone and change the lyrics to match. I can use some help with the lyrics and then someone to sing it for Youtube. I suppose I should be doing a Christmas song.

I'm thankful for my MG family. Without you all, I would feel very alone in this.
I hope people that have been absent here lately or not doing as well lately start turning it around. I haven't seen enough progress for everyone. That is my wish for all of us...progress

Might just put that on my list since Santa keeps asking! :-) I can push. It's the reaching and twisting the cap and squeezing and putting the cap back on and putting the tooth paste away that make me hesitate and some nights just hope that water will do the job. :-) Then the dental hygienist asks if I floss!! Fortunately I inherited very strong enamel. b.
