Heart racing

Hello, I wanted to know if anyone hearts race and breath heavy and shake all over. This week a had a problem and it happen at work. Out of know where my heart starts racing and I start to shake and I start breathing really heavy. I went to the ER and they did a EKG but didn't find anything. Has this happen to anyone here?

Similar yes, but not to the extent that I needed to go to ER. Did you contact your neuro?

Yes, I went to the ER just to make sure I wasn't having a heart attack. I'm on prednisone, mention, and imuran. One of my dr put he on a antibiotic 3 times a week. That my would cause my MG worst I don't know. My neuro just told me to rest. Just make me worried. The ER did a EKG and it was fine just my heart was racing and my blood work came back fine.

It maybe the prednisone I know from experience my blood pressure and heart rate was always really good but now my heart rate stays between 100-140 and bp is usually 159/100 they think its the predict but I went from 60mg a day to 20 mg and still it has not helped I constantly feel my heart racing they have done ekgs, heart echo, stress test and it shows a tachycardia but no one seems to know why and they keep pushing off to the side. It does worry me all the meds I'm on and no one seems to know how to fix it my neuro did add propranolol to my long list of drugs to help with bp and my tremors caused by fatigue it is helping if I miss that pill my bp shoots up and I feel horrible. Hope this helps.

The beta blockers considered safest to use in MG are atenolol and metoprolol. They are all "use with caution" on our medication list, but some of us need them! The calcium channel blockers are worse and The ACE inhibitors did not work well for me. Just something to be aware of if you begin having troubles and for others who need these drugs. I have very volatile blood pressure, but not tachycardia. b
