Hello everybody. I'm going through my third night of ivig here at Presbyterian hospital and I just wanted to let everyone know so far, so good. I had a little bit of a headache after day one, and felt a little sick, but it didn't last too long. There has not been any noticeable improvement yet, but the doc said it will take a few days. I'm praying for good results. The doc said I might get to return back to work soon too, and maybe get to do some hunting! Well, I'm not planning on too much, because seems like nothing goes right when I get my hopes up. But anyway, so far, so good.

I sure hope you get to feeling better and everything goes your way. I got somewhat sick myself doing the IVIG. Will keep you in my prayers.

Getting your hopes up is a good thing. It produces chemicals in your brain that will work to help you get better.

Round 3 down, wasn't quite as week at wake up. Taking 40 mgs of prednisone and 50 mgs of Imuran. One of those two are making me sweat and feel like I got the flu, but it goes away after 4 or 5 hours. Round 4 today and 5 early tomorrow, then homeward bound. Doc asked if I was ready to go hunting yet. Maybe soon. Thanks for the great support everybody. You're all awesome.

40 of mestinon is really not enough for me. I would ask to try 90 every 4 hours. Just give it a try. It cant hurt to try. 40 wouldn't ever help me at all.

I take 60 mgs of mestinon every 4 hours, down from 90 while I doing the ivig it seems to be working.

I'm supposed to have been on my hunting trip this weekend!!! First time missed in a couple of decades.

I just completed IVIG (5 days) and wonder how long it takes to fully function. My treatment was Mon-Fri last week. Some good improvement, but 3 days later, is that it?

Thanks Terry, pretty ironic we meet on 2 websites. IVIg hasn't shown any real dramatic improvement, yet, but doc says give it a few days. Can't wait to be able to hunt again. I will give you a call when I get a little better.
