I just had sinus surgery under general anesthesia, and consulted with the Anesthesiologist a few days prior. Although he was not the one who cared for me while I was under, he took good notes, relayed them to the group, and the procedure went well. In fact, I'm going to get a copy of the Anesthesia Notes and keep them in my records, in case some day I need general anesthesia again.
Not sure what all they used, but I know he juiced me up with some Neostigmine (liquid Mestinon?) while I was under. Crazy to say, I felt GREAT when I woke up, as far as MG goes.
I will admit though, before the procedure they were hydrating me with IV Fluid (Ringers Lactate, LR, Lactated Ringers all same thing) and it made me VERY weak. I initially thought it had Magnesium in it ( a no-no for MGrs), but it doesn't.
Good Luck, and keep us posted. Take Care.
