Hello All!!
Its been a LONG time since ive posted anything on here but as we all know that's usually a good sign! im doing great, going to school part time as a senior in high school and im on track to graduate in the spring! currently applying to colleges which is a huge step for me. for a while I could have never imagined being well enough to live on my own and now here I am filling out applications to be a full time college student!!!
ANYWAYS im taking a trip to San Diego for the MGFA national conference in the spring and have a few questions..
1. I have a vortex port implanted and a card to verify I have one to use in situations like customs. The port apparently sets of the metal detectors. does anyone have experience going through customs with a port? will they pat me down? what should I expect?
2. I take quite a bit of medication and id be taking all of it with me in my carry on. is this even allowed? I would have 7 bottles of various prescription and supplemental medications with me. is there a limit? would I benefit from bringing some sort of documentation from my neuro saying I need all of the medications?
if you cant tell im a little nervous hahaha. I've only flown three times and each were pre-mg

You'll be fine!
I like to take my own drink container and have it filled up when I get through security that way I do not have to wait on the flight crew .Also take a cane .
Ask for an outside seat so if you have to go to the bathroom you can get up easily.
