After only getting one treatment, there was a calcium shortage so I was unable to get plasmapheresis without it.
My swallowing had deteriorated more this past weekend, so I called the neuro first thing this morning and got him to call the nephrologist again and somehow they have rounded up some calcium for me. I have to wait until tomorrow for it because the Red Cross has to come down from Atlanta to do it. I will have to be extra careful what I put in my mouth until then. I am hoping that when I get 3,4 Dap I won't have to be so dependent on plasmapheresis to keep me swallowing.

Amazing!!! The difference between before and after. I was short of breath just laying down this morning and had to drag myself to the car to go to the hospital for treatment. I managed to get inside the front door of the hospital and to the information desk to ask for a wheel chair to take me upstairs. They allow me to have a bed during treatment because I can't tolerate sitting up in a chair that long.
As the treatment went along I felt better and better.
