Fallen and I can't get up

I was recently diagnosed with MG about 3 months ago. I am on the time span and Mestinon for MG. I also have autoimmune hepatitis that I was diagnosed with in 2012. I take prednisone and Imuran for that. And finally when I was 4 I was diagnosed with CREST Syndrome (scleroderma)- in remission now. I am 30 and my 28 year old brother was diagnosed with MG almost 2 years ago. I have been getting alot of useful information from him except for my issue earlier today. I was at the grocery store and had crouched down to pick up a gallon of milk. When I went to stand up my legs gave out and I dropped to my knees. I couldn't manage to pull myself up alone. I had to get 3 men to help me up enough to get into an electric shopping cart they had brought me. I have never felt that weak and helpless before. Are there any suggestions someone could give me as to help prevent that embarrassing situation?

Hi hope,
Can you time your shopping around your Mestinon doses so you are at your strongest? I now use an electric scooter cart in all but the smallest stores. In small ones I hang onto the grocery cart and get help with larger trips.

You really need to contact your neuro you may need to adjust her mestinon or other meds you are taking. I would do so. I had a incident at work in which I couldd not lift my legs to walk up three steps and fell down I could not life my body and my co-worker had to help me up. I went straight to the er the next morning and was admitted. I was sent to a neuro who told me I was having an exacerbation of my MG and was taken off work and placed on mestinon and prednisone. I have been off work since July and it has been a slow process. So please follow up with your neuro. Good luck.
