To help - with the Gastroparesis. I started a dose of 5mg daily, several months ago (1/2 of a 10mg pill). It is making a difference, a significant improvement. - Ross
(I could probably take the full 10mg, with no problem. But the 5mg dose is working fine - so good enough.)
I was on Timespan BID with all kinds of side effects, literally reluctant to leave the house for fear of an embarrassing event.
My new specialist - he's 80+, been doing MG for 50 years, bless him - has reduced me to 60mg TID with Prednisone and Imuran, and has restored the quality of my life.
Admittedly, I have a mild case: Double vision, minor difficulty swallowing.
Then, I had to restart some Diamox for my IIH and that has made me feel even worse.
I am in bed resting, resting. I told my neuro that the Diamox made my mg feel worse and he said to just do low dose. That doesn't seem to matter.
Sigh
I am able to use it BID and use the shorter acting on top of it but I seem to have fewer of the GI symptoms so far.
My neuro told me it releases somewhat unevenly but it good at night and if used in the day the 60 mg short acting or splitting it to 30mg can be added. I find I have to fine tune mine a lot depending on other meds and activity.
Sounds like Ross had some ideas on the Reglan for GI symptoms.
Hope you find the combination that works for you soon....Marie
