as a member of the myasthenia gravis foundation, and going thru hell in the net, i finaly came accross an article put our by the mg news.(publication of the mg foudation which had an article by dr. Jeffrey Rosenfield professor and associate chairman department of neurology, directoe center for restorative neuroly of the lomita linda university heatl in california


i am cuoting for his words in the magaine for fall/winter 2020


while mg is caused by a problem  in the inmune system is not an inmune system that cannor fight infections in fact, one might argue to well


in mgproducing an antiboby that is innapropiate. furthrmore. our inmune system is able to roduce tcells(white blood cells that fight infections and b cells antibodies, t cells functions is expected to be normal in mg and b cells can still be rpoduced against infections like cov19


therefore, just having an autoinmune like mg does not necessarly result in additional vulnerabilty to getting a covid infection



because of my double indemnity og mg and b tallassemia ( very high on the list of the cdc for infections) due to the lack fo normal blood cells wich the amount of oxigen by the blood cells are to low, i had to check if i was to have the vaccine



SO GREAT NEWS LAST WEEK SINE MY WIFE HAD HER VACCINE I TOOK THE INICIATIVE AS I NEEDED TO HONOR MY WIFE LIFE, (O BE AFTER BEING MARRIED 58 YRS) I HAD THE OBLIGATION TO GET THE VACCINE SO I DID IT, THE ONLY THING THAT I MADE SURE WAS TO ASK WICH ONE I WAS GETTING, WAS TOLD PHFISER, SO I DID IT



as i was getting the needdle in i monitored all possible signs that could occure, and i am HONOR TO REPORT TO YOU AND HOPE TO TAKE THE GITTERS OUT OF YOUR MINDS, i feel great doing what i was doing before walking my 5 miles daily whitout fear  of being expose to the uncertity of not knowing


so, do not be afraid of the vaccines, beleive me it could be worst

We should definitely not be in fear over this as the numbers suggest it is basically a cold. Even a cold can cause problems for the old and weak and that is the concern.

Andre, thanks for the heartening post. Although our state health department (Pennsylvania) has announced that people 65 and over can now receive the vaccine, it is almost impossible to register for a dose. I expect that the vaccine will become more available here within the next few weeks. I take prednisone so that might affect how effective the vaccine is for me.

I am looking forward to being vaccinated. Even though everyone is still advised to social distance and especially to continue wearing a mask after receiving the Covid shots, like you I will feel safer.

I’ve had zero loved ones die from a cold, or lay in an ICU for 8 days because of a highly contagious cold. I have had loved ones be in ICU for 8 days from COVID, and 4 months later still not be allowed to return to work. And, they were healthy 22 year olds(twins). And one of the 22 year olds had already had COVID 4 months previously. (Yes you can get it more than once). They were mask wearers, but the visitors to the theme park where they worked were not.
I’ve been told these are exaggerations or anecdotal incidents and not reflective of averages and statistics. I just smile at these people, which pisses them off, giving me great satisfaction.
