Did anyone have difficulty during their thoroscopic thymectomy with their oxygen levels dropping when they deflated a lung?
They deflated one lung and then my oxygen levels became too low. I had taken a large dose of mestinone before the surgery and wonder if that was the problem (fills me up with fluids--maybe restricts oxy exchange?)
Should they have told me no mestinone before the surgery?

I didn't have any problems with my thymectomy. I have never heard of that happening. They normally give a round of IVIG before surgery. I was not taking mestinon, so not sure about that. What does your surgeon say.
