Hey folks, my doc ordered a CT of my chest ; the script for CT reads...CT of chest with & without contrast, script dx reads... R subclavicular swelling,tenderness & chest tightness.
This was all done thru an e-mail of my symptoms, to tired & to much health issues going on w/ my other 2 children to go in. Would ask him but office closed by the x I got the script e-mailed to me, didn't know I was even going to get that type of script. Is this usually a method to ck thymus?
My neck has been weird but no clotting per an US & a CT done Monday, since then my rightt side of chest seems a bit more raised than my left, now I hv noticed my right side of upper torso under arm area & down some is larger than my left torso side,I know my body, this is not my usual body, I noticed my right side body issue when my right arm didn't seem to "hang down" like usual,felt weird. My arms ok it's hangs not so close to body due to the puffiness,swelling, or whateverness;( not a happy camper right now. Just wanted to know if anybody has had this or these similiar symptoms or has had a CT ordered due to possible Thymus issues w/ MG

The chest CT scan is done to check for Thymoma, and this is standard procedure when MG is diagnosed and/or suspected. It is about a 20 percent chance of that. I wish you luck.

I never had any swelling w/thymoma but....who knows. Maybe he is also looking at lymph nodes? Do they show up on CT? As you know, an immune system in overdrive can do all sorts of strange things to our bodies.
