The chest CT scan is done to check for Thymoma, and this is standard procedure when MG is diagnosed and/or suspected. It is about a 20 percent chance of that. I wish you luck.

I never had any swelling w/thymoma but....who knows. Maybe he is also looking at lymph nodes? Do they show up on CT? As you know, an immune system in overdrive can do all sorts of strange things to our bodies.
