My big-city neuro is very well-respected in his field, and on my first visit with him, it was one of the first questions he asked me. He never gave me any background, but after I told him "No", he was pleased and moved on.
Their is some connection. Pretty sure I've read something about MG and "nicotinic" (?) receptors ? I don't know if they are related or not.
Second hand smoke is even worse. I would try to avoid it in your "workplace" as much as you can.
Even if your workplace is someone else's home, you shouldn't have to be exposed to this. Talk to your employer. Maybe someone less sensitive can work this case.

i am a mg, with compromised respiratory system, and beleive me i shi from anybody smoking next to me, as i will have dificulties breading, and puffing.
on mg, smoke will accentuate the negatives, and may cost you to seek medical help, if your breading and choking get worst as it will accentuate the negatives.
depending in your cliassification of mg, as mine, i acn not afford any conplication of my respiratory system.
so do youself a great favor stay away from anybody which want to smoke near you, they should not get anoid fron your asking to smoke somewhere else
