I started Cellcept a few days ago. Noticed a few pint point red blood spots under my skin. Does anyone else have these? I'm on the lowest dose and will ramp it up every 2 weeks due to back reactions to most medications. Any information would be helpful. Thank you.

If I was you I would call doc and tell him(or Her)
My doc is always asking.....are you having any problems.

I'm not on it, but it may be in my near future. I agree with Ann, keep your physicians in the loop, especially w/ immunosuppressants.

Some people can't tolerate a certain med, and switch to an alternative where they find a good match.

Never heard of the red blood spots.

Yes, call your doctor.
That could be a reaction.
I was put on Cellcept, but that lasted only three weeks.
As it caused too big a change in my WBC count. This was just me.
Most people seem to do okay on Cellcept.
But you already know you have sensitivities to meds.
So yes, call your doctor. Ross

I would let your doctor know, just as I did. This reaction is normal when starting Cellcept and should subside.

Just keep an eye on them.

I have been on Cellcept for about 3 yrs. and yes I get the red blood spots.. Mine went away once I got use to the dosage. I only got them when I went up on the dose. They went away in about 2-3 weeks.
But for sure let your Dr know

I've been on cellcept 6 years and am on 3500 daily. The red spots are common when going up on a dose until your body gets used to it. I also developed blood blisters in my mouth as I went up. There are other side effects that can also happen but you need to keep in close contact with your doctor as he titrates the dose.

Thanks everyone! I took the advise and called my Neuro. He stopped it and ordered blood work. Don't know what the next step is but will let you know.

I am surprised your neuro stopped it. Especially before any results.

You need to be aggressive and probably continue the Cellcept.
