I swell and sometimes get physically sick from the.
If they start looking bad, I take a benadryl and put antibiotic oint on them. What really helps the most thought is putting ice on them. Yep, plain old ice works like a charm!

It has been a hard week. Just getting dressed and going to the Doctor's office is a effort. Just getting dressed is a chore. I had to have blood taken for both my MD and Neurologist. My veins are gone and they had to get a specialist in there to get the amount of blood they needed. I am always exhausted after going to the Doctor and it is getting far too hot in SA for me to sit outside. Unless you have had to be in the bed 24-7 you will never understand the frustration. For someone who lived to read I feel too bad to even get my Kindle out. Before taking all of this medicine I could sleep on the side or the middle of a interstate. Now I just lay in bed, eyes wide open and have so much trouble sleeping. My body is so tired and wants to sleep but my mind is just racing. Having a bad back only contributes to the frustration. Stay away from bugs everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter who has Celiac Desease, MPBP, lypo atrophy does hv the same reactions to those lil' buggies, & we do treat right away! I laugh & call those lil' annoyances "side effects" of having any auto-immune issues. Gardening to me is soo therapeutic & from your pics I bet it is for you too! Luv bug spray & the after care, most likely worth the benefits, hope your feeling much better in the morning b:))

maybe we should take out shares in bubble wrap.
I woke up this morning still itching and a bit swollen around the bites, and just a bit of twinge here and there from my marathon gardening yesterday, but probably deserved to suffer more for my indiscretions than that! Must be getting better! I have to admit I am glad there is nothing so pressing today that I can't rest the legs that are a bit rubbery. b.
I have had this reaction for many years and just started medication about a year and a half ago. I think some of us do have different attractors (sounds better than smells :-) ). I HAVE to use insect repellent in situations in which my husband and other people do not seem to be bitten. I know other people who do seem to get bitten more often than others. Sorry if you are a member of that group. b.
A simple bug bite?
Yup - can cause an immune response -
- that's way overboard, with swelling & inflammation.
Hope you're a little better today, b.

(Who's in charge of this immune system stuff, anyway?)
(I've got a little bit of a bone to pick.)
