Lots of health drama since last Thursday with 2 of my 4 children... Still in the midst of it.
As for my neck.... Called doc, he saw me Monday sent me to ultrasound. I figured the funny/odd swelled place here then there was probably due to my hypothyroid or infection of EBV. No I was being checked for any blood clots, found none, whatever it is it moved upward toward my ear, upper jawbone area, went to ER, no TMJ, just wierd swelling a lil' warmth off & on inside but not to the touch, I had some fever but no infection, labs looked good, CT was good. My doc said he has seen one other female w/ this & she has done every test,treatment plus traveled the country to other docs too, she has found no name, explanation or dx's. This person does not have MG. Any of you guys/gals ever experienced anything like this in relation to MG. no real pain just discomfort, feels worse in morning if I've slept on that side of my neck (left side). Sometimes some mild pain across the back of shoulders & across bottom part of back of neck. Hope I'm making sense. Thx MeLisa

Odd the neck problem. I'm glad there's no tumor or infection but how strange. I agree with snuggs, go get a good orthopedic memory foam pillow at walmart or target. That should help with the neck pain. The swelling, maybe it could be related to your neck pain/muscle inflammation? Who knows. Try the pillow and see if it helps.

Have you had surgery...a thymectomy? I've had some strange pain/ numbness in my upper back and neck that they think is from my second surgery for return of thymoma. It's not where the incision is, but a lot of nerves, muscles, ribs,etc were involved. It's been 10 months, so I thought that was strange to still be bothering me. If it continues, it might be a good idea to get a second opinion.
