Odd the neck problem. I'm glad there's no tumor or infection but how strange. I agree with snuggs, go get a good orthopedic memory foam pillow at walmart or target. That should help with the neck pain. The swelling, maybe it could be related to your neck pain/muscle inflammation? Who knows. Try the pillow and see if it helps.

Have you had surgery...a thymectomy? I've had some strange pain/ numbness in my upper back and neck that they think is from my second surgery for return of thymoma. It's not where the incision is, but a lot of nerves, muscles, ribs, etc were involved. It's been 10 months, so I thought that was strange to still be bothering me. If it continues, it might be a good idea to get a second opinion.
good luck
