Be well,
Be sure it is narrow enough to fit through the doors and you are right not to become too dependent if you don't need it and willing to use it if you do--based on my Dad's experince. He was getting worn out and falling and then when he eventually caved in, and sat in it, didn't get out. You will have more stimulus!
Big hugs. b.
.I must admit I enjoy "walking" on the paths in the woods with my family again. It is quite humbling and I get alot of looks of "really,? you need a wheelchair?" to "oh you poor thing!" Guess it doesn't help when I get out and push it for a few minutes to get some excercise.
Iam looking forward to enjoying other outings to museums, the zoo etc. and not feeling so worn out when we get home so I can do other things with family, like fix a meal or play games or even just talk.
Downside-- I do feel more of a bother to family and the wheelchair takes up alot of space in car...wish we could afford a roomier car. Good luck to you hope it helps!.
I tried it out, and it was quite enjoyable to use. We found it at a very reasonable price, used, on craigslist. It is being passed around in the neighborhood now as different folks have need for it. My 28 year old nephew fell off a roofing job breaking both ankles and used it for a few months and showed me he could do "wheelies" with it!
Go for it keep your ability to range widely through our world!
