Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a neuromuscular disease leading to fluctuating muscle weakness and fatiguability. For me, I definitely become more "MG sensitive" around my cycle and physical activity/alcohol really take their toll around that time.
I never actually thought about whether my meds had any affect on my cycle, as I've been on birth control for some years now thanks to Imuran.
Unfortunately, we ladies have such a delicate situation going on that it's often difficult to track down what's causing what. Your body could very well be still trying to regulate itself.... Or the fact that you might be stressing about it could be the reason for the spaced out periods. OR it could be a rapid change in weight. You might want to talk to your neuro and your OB/GYN about it and see what they come up with. Good luck, sugar!
Anyways, prednisone is because of it's very nature will make your hormones fluctuate. That's why the majority of the side effects are so horrible. The stress, weight gain and medical treatments will all play a huge role. I haven't had a period (spotting only due to a uterine ablation 2 yrs ago) since I started the steroids. I would definitely talk to your PCP, Neuro and OBGYN. If you haven't already had a PAP test (annual exam and test for cervical cancer) you may wish to start that sooner because of the complications that come from the treatments you receive. You are so young and it's a shame that this is one more thing to burden you with but as women it's what we do. lol Best of luck to you and take care of yourself.
Hugs,
Angie
