I don't have any answers yet, as I still new to MG and working on getting an official diagnosis and further treatment. My neuro is considering plasmapheresis and I'm anxious about it as I don't know what to expect. I'm not sure how I feel about it, it seems scary having to get the blood/plasma exchanged for however long or the rest of our lives. What are the pros/cons of plasmapheresis? Risks vs benefits? How well does it work for people? How long does it last?... I have pretty severe MG symptoms and the respiratory is at the top of my list as a chronic, scary issue. I will be staying tuned to hear how others respond and what info is shared. I am *with you* on the desire to just breathe normally!!! I want to be able to sing normally again. To have a conversation without getting winded and in coughing fits. Is there anything helping you Karla, with the breathing?
Please keep me/us posted on how the plasma goes an also if you care to share more about your experience. I feel I can learn from you as I likely soon to be facing my first plasma...
Wishing you well!
