I would say a call to your doctor is in order, but my MG seriously affects my right side more than my left side, from my face down to my legs. Hope you are doing OK now. God bless.

Did you have any other symptoms like the eye on that side watering? Like with Bell's palsy? Or numbness? Steroids treat that, but your doctor will want to know about it... Praying for you. Please give us an update when you get a chance.

Nothing else. Wrong. I am stronger and breathing is better. Right lower lip has given me problems for months and my doctor knows about it. Just couldn't smile this morning.

I am glad your smile is back! I wonder if this is similar to one eye drooping more then another? I find my right arm more often weaker then the left and when my walking is affected my right side seems to lab behind the left....

Also I find that I have to increase mestinon at times due to other meds or stress from allergy or illness.

I'm just glad it's better:) probably simply an exacerbation of what you already had. Your doctor will want to know about it sooner or later, though...sooner if it is a recurring thing. We will pray that is NOT the case:)

When my left eye droops my left side can't smile. Half smile.

Thanks guys I will up my Mestinon back to 4 times a day. I will watch carefully.

I can have quite a bout with smiling. I never want my picture taken anymore and vanity was never a weakness for me. Now I have to check my self-confidence all the time. I performed in many types of staged shows and now I go see shows and go sing or dance when I can.

Remember that some of this disease is in our heads...

It takes a lot of muscles to smile and positive thinking helps. Believe you are and don't worry about smiling. I think the best we can do is continue to practice!

So try to stay as happy as possible, ok?

My smile is also affected... At times my husband asked aren't you going to smile ? He forgets that mg affects the face muscles. I give a sneer, laugh and go on. My droopy eyes bothers me the most so don't like pictures for that reason.

I stop taking pictures about eight years ago. I look like I'm mad all the time. I was on Mestinon and Prednisone. I just started Mycophenolate (Cellcept) two months ago. God bless you. Cabbage7

Guess I should mention we had work place violence this week. Our dishwasher stabbed our cook. Luckily the cook is out of the hospital. I am the HR person and it has been very stressful for all of us. We never thought it would happen to us.

Am going on vacation in two weeks to see my favorite actor. I'm happy.

Beautiful Smile BCCanada!!! And my smile and eyes are the first sign of MG weakness! As long as I take my mestinon and imuran its usually ok!
