Thanks for sharing Curt's words, bweeds. I joined in 2014 so didn't know him but live by his philosophy. I just came back from a music festival on a day 34C (?>90F). I took ice, water, frozen juice, two cooling scarves and a swimsuit in case I had to jump in the river! My hubby really wanted to see one of the groups so we made it work. I did end up sitting almost in a flower bed trying to find the last place in the shade!

Good to hear from you, bweeds. I miss your posts and was worried about you.

Beth - Thank you so much for adding this! I think about Curt often - he taught me not to let this silly disease define me. I don't come on this site often anymore. I am a ton better but still have a lot of limitations and am trying to clean up many side effects from the meds. My kids offer me mestinon if I get weak..and it is just a way of life. Curt went to work every day. Even when he had to tape his eyelids open. I listen to my body when it is screaming at me to slow down - but I aspire to have Curt's strength every day!

For newcomers -- Curt Miller can give you backbone when you need it. He certainly changed my attitude about what a person with this disease could be! Try this Google search and you'll get all of it, but not in any particular order. Somebody should compile and edit this stuff. Curt was a magnificent writer, and was passionate about his subject. ~joe
