Hello everyone im a mom of lil girl who was just recently diagnosed with MG in march 2011 i saw this was a group for young ppl dealing with MG so i thought i would join since my daughter is 3yrs old and im still new to this in understanding about MG im just looking to connect with others with MG and wondering how old were u when you were diagnosed with it thanks

i was 15 when i was diagnosed. 3 is VERY young.. I am sorry to hear about your daughter. I have had MG for 10 years now.

My son was diagnosed in August last year, after his second birthday. He has already had a crisis and had a thymectomy in December of last year. He is currently on prednisone twice a day and mestinon every 4 hours. Any advice?

hi emma my daughter had a thymectomy aswell in march sorry to hear your lil one had a crisis my daughter is on predisone aswell and mestinon it's a difficult thing to have to see our kids go through there is another active group in here with ppl who have mg i have been in this group but havent seen really any activity in here as much there is also some more groups im a part of on fb if you would like that i can pm you

hey sorry to hear about ur kids, must be hard for u both i wasnt diagnosed til i was 18 i went on predisone and mestionon, i find mestionon helps alot more than predisone and also with predisone after awhile you notice alot of the side affects start to show such as bad skin, weight gain etc...
if you youtube it thr are some people who do videos about it there maybe a mum or a young child whos done one maybe?
