Hi, I was so very embarassed today. I have MD 2 but for the most part am doing fairly good. Although I have some difficulty can still get up steps. I can walk the mall without any aids or problem. I do have problems with steep curbs and tend to look for handicapped entrances. Looking at me, you wouldn't know I had any disability. Well, today I went to a county fair with friends and a school bus took you from parking to the fair grounds. I had no problem walking the fair grounds and we did quite a bit of walking, however, I was able to lift my foot onto the first step of the school bus but was unable to push myself up and the school bus driver literally had to lift me onto the bus. I sensed a lot of stares and it was so very embarrassing.

Hi Monnie, I experienced a similar situation when I was a Kid. I completely understand how you felt.

I hate to hear this happened to you. I also have MD. I have FSH MD. Like you I am able to walk around Walmart or grocery shop without assistance. Afterwards though my legs are so sore and tend to shake. It scares me because I was told not to "overdue it". But I am on disability, can't work, and I have a child. The only time I do get out is once a week to go to the grocery store. So its something I have to do. Like I said when I am done I can hardly bare it. My mom also has FSH MD. She has a lot of trouble with steps. Unless there is hand rail and my assistance she can not go up steps. Its kind of like the bling leading the blind. I am weak but my mother is weaker and I feel I have to help her. In the end I'm probably hurting myself but its my mother. I hope you feel better I am right there with you. It doesn't feel great to have people stare or whisper about you but they don't know our state of living. Hand in there.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
