Warning: You cannot mix Yerba Mate and Valerian root (tea or supplement). Some kind of Mao inhibitor mixing thing. it has been years since I read about it, but mixing (as in drinking them within 2 weeks of each other) can give you high blood pressure. I used to drink them both and accidentally came across this info.
Yes I am with Jill on this. Do you have a link for this info? I love Yerba Mate and have decided that I will pull out my fancy porcelen tea service and start drinking it again. It DOES make me feel so much better and I have spent the better part of the last 2 weeks in bed. I am so frustrated by fatigue that I went scrounging around and found my old Prednisone pills and am going to be taking them again. This after my doc warned me that Prednisone is not good for you. I have decided I really don't care, if it provides relief and allows me enough energy to get up and actually look for a job and then DO the job it is well worth it to me. The Yerba Mate would be an excellent alternative......Thank you if you do have it!! ... Tamye
Hi, I use prednisone but like the infusion, I read here on an older post how to. Its taken for 5-8 days only, my Dr also prescribed it like that. This Mayo Clinic site is good, many people travel just to be seen there, worth a look. Love Alma
Trying to posts links its still a challenge for me!! LOL
You probably know about this, and it might help some. alma
One of them gave some very cautionary info.
I really like the one which lists 9 foods which fight fatigue.
I especially like walnuts, yoghurt and DARK CHOCOLATE!!! Yippee!!!
