So, I'm used to the normal leg pain and body aches, but just recently I'm having wrist pain as if I sprained both wrists. There's no swelling, but the underside of my wrists ache. I do have the tingling in my fingers, but I always get that. Has anyone else had problems with their wrists?

Not so much pain for me but numbness is bad for me. Hope you can get some answers for your problem.

hi : ) yeah, my wrists have left the building. I think it is a flare for me, it is extra bigtime right now. so sorry for this new symptom for you

I have osteoarthritis and osteoporosis in my wrists and thumbs. Remember... not every pain you experience is from the MS. Get it checked out to ease your mind.

Having the same for 2-3 months. Especially around base of thumb/wrist area. Try to continue with OT suggestions to do fine motor exercises with fingers and wrists but am having increased pain with movement. Wish I had a solution. Let us know if you find something that helps. Thx.

OMG, I thought I was the only one. I do believe that mine is not MS related.

It starts in the thenar eminence (the meaty part of the hand between the thumb and the wrist). That part has atrophied. Then it goes up the arm and rapidly down my leg and my entire body goes cold. It can happen anytime but is more likely to occur when sitting.

MS MRIs are of the c- and t- spine. I just had one last week that included the lumbar. If it's structural (a pinch, bend, or kink) then the spine doc will discuss next options. If not, then I go back to my neuro.

I have already seen a hand doc, but that's all he considers - that is his specialty and he doesn't consider the spine. So I've basically had to try and dx myself so I know which doc to see.

Wouldn't it be nice to have someone who can see the whole person rather than just individual segments?
