the first thing I would put up is a big pic of that cute little dog of yours, hopefully you have one of the family, you, Bruce and your little baby.

It is a personal decision but I would be putting up photos of "special" times or people. I have photos of all the dogs we have had, times with hubby & me & family photos. Hubby is getting frustrated that I have so many photos in frames LOL. He is lucky I can't find the hooks to put some on the walls.
If you haven't got many photos then I would find "positive quotes" on pictures, even out of magasines etc & put them up.
It's whatever you like, if you are a sports fan, put up photos of them too.
Thats some ideas for you, think about what you like & do that, even phones of plants, forests etc.
Just make sure it is what makes you happy & peaceful too.
Have fun decorating & take your time.

Sorry Kayce, I forgot to respond to you earlier. I say you take that picture frame you love, remove the picture, and put a collage of all the great photos you have of yourself and Bruce, and your dog. The frame and glass will protect them, and you can look at them every day. Put up some inspirational things as well. Make a goal list hanging in your room, and cross off the items once you've completed them. Surround yourself with things you love..... such as any collections and photos. It will help you on your toughest days. I love ya girl, and cannot say enough how much I admire you! You are one very STRONG woman!!! Take care!

Decorating is my specialty (: Do you have a window? Do you have a friend or family member that could help you get this done? If you're allowed and it's not a trip (fall) hazard -- a rug would be nice.. even if in front of a window where you aren't rolling or trying to walk.. Curtains if there is a window (and you have help installing of course).. Yes to a plant !! Plants warm everything up.. But find a hardy plant that doesn't require daily care ! I agree, pictures are a must ! Think about the things you love the most and surround yourself with that stuff. It soothes the soul to have spaces feel wonderful..
