I'm jumping the gun regaurdless of the out come of my MRI from today !

My sx are mirrored of most of you , with 4 yrs in of pure PAIN I'm so ready
to try anything at this point.

So I'm asking WHAT was your first treatment ?

Did that treatment work for you ?

Or What treatment have you found that works best for you ?

We all are different so I know it might not work the same ...

Is there one treatment over another that works better for you ?

I have the usual ~ Fatigue,spasms, left caff charlie horse,left side weakness,horrible leg pain behind the knees are bad,feet hurt all over.

Just to name a few. It has gone on and on and I'm ready for relief !

Sorry but I wanted to add ;

2 yrs ago I had gone to the ER for my right hand ,from the wrist to the finger tios it felt like the entire hand was on fire like gas and torched ! for hours !

ER Doc put me on 60 mg's of steriods WELL It was to much I had a Pancreatic attack !! Had to be admitted and treated for that ..

So I'm afraid to take to high of a dose of steriods any suggestions?

My first treatment was Copaxone. I started it 3 years ago. I am still on it. I haven't had any noticeable attacks since being on it. I do have ongoing sx here and there. But I don't call those attacks. My last MRI showed one new lesion, but I don't know what sx that one caused.

Hi Angie,
The neuro put me on Avonex first. I was on it about 18 months. It seems that I ended up with a new lesion and two that had grown. He then recommended Tysabri. In August, it will be one year on Ty.

Many have found magnesium a good remedy for muscle spasms. From what I've read, you would need to work up to 800 mg. a day.

I sure hope you find some relief soon.

I am an old hand to MS! I started on Betaseon (it was the only thing available at the time). Then I was put on Avonex, then back to Betaseron. Then the last drug I was on was Rebif. It was making me really sick (after 10 years of it) I now take Ampyra to aid I'm walking and Gabapentin for the muscle spasms. The doctor suggested Tysabri, and I said no (with my luck, I would have a problem with that).

Thank you all for your input , I just want to bring this up to my Doc and make a good choice for me.

At this point my Doc seems to be with me and together willing to take the next step in finding me some relief !

I am most interested in Solumedrol I thiink.I just want to read up alittle more on it . I did find a sight w/ feed back ,alot good and some nnot so good ... All I know is when I take steriods I feel so much better and I'm with little pain untill a few days after they stop and then all h3ll breaks loose again !

The only drug I have tried was rebif and I felt like walking death it was not worth it for me, I have reserached and if approved plan to try LDN as my only symptom is fatigue presently.
