Since I had my first attack in 07, my life has changed so much. I no longer work, so I don't see any of my old 'friends' anymore. My financials are enough to pay my bills with little left for the hobbies I used to enjoy.

I have to be real careful that I don't overdo or I will be in bed for 2 days after. when I finally have the energy and drive to have some fun, I don't know what to do that is free or cheap. I am alone now, and I would love to meet people again.

I just don't know how. What do you guys do for fun now? Please help. Thanks in advance for your responses which I will greatly appreciate.

Hi

Many parks are free, buy a pizza our bring peanuts and lunch, feed the squirrel s,.ducks,

Go to the library, free and chances are you'll meet someone.

Church if its an option, they have gatherings after mass or service.

Visit elderly people, they love it, plus they usually have cookies.

Crocheting its still one of the cheapest hobbies, if you know how, and a lot of people keep material they no longer need and will gladly donate,, like widowers,,, they don't know what to do with craft materials, just as women don't know what to do with hubby, s tools.

My kids always said I was the queen of free. We had plenty of fun outdoors, because I packed sandwiches, soda or juice and any green ground was perfect for a picnic. Ducks, squirrels, birds, etc provided the entertainment. It was my attitude that did the trick, it didn't matter what I was feeling, my attitude was party.

For little money buy, fishing gear,, any men there will be the hero by teaching you, plus you get to talk.

If you like children, libraries always have volunteers reading to the children.

I approach people, start talking, we have fun, the secret is in listening, my kids are amazed at how much info I get from just talking.

When you step out, say out loud, I love life!!! Only you know if it's not true. Attitude is half the fun. Be who you wanted to be, leave the pain behind,, enjoy

My fun? I live on two acres here with river frontage, so I walk my three dogs to the river a few times each day (weather permitting) and we sit and watch the river and the wildlife. I read books on the history of the west. I have issues reading though, so I can only read two to four pages each day. I like to putz around outside, like today I oiled a windmill I have in my garden. I'll putz around with my old Jeep, too. I do enjoy cooking and I like to make different things. other than these things, I watch too much TV, especially at night.

Are you a member of Pinterest? There are a lot of ideas you can look at. I put in cheap craft ideas and several things came up. Good wills or thrift stores have yarn, embroidery thread and etc.

I am a t.v. junky so I watch a lot of it. I also take a lot of surveys on the net and make money or earn prizes. I really enjoy it.
