Hi All,
Been under the weather lately here as I had a sinus infection again. That just aggravated and magnified my ms symptoms. Was getting along well and even 'healing' till that happened. So new to this, just learning my body and wondered what else I should watch for. What are some of your catalysts? What gets your MS rockets fired? Curious and want to avert whatever I can. Thanks for your help.

heat,that's the worst. darkness also affects me but more my balance, not being able to see even closing my eyes can make me fall.

Mine seem to be heat, stress, and I too have trouble seeing in the dark. And getting too tired can make some of my symptoms seem to act up like double vision, and balance, especially when I am tired.

HEAT, AND MY VISION IS BAD ALL THE TIME NOW. STRESS LIKE WHAT I AM DOING TODAY, MOVING. WHEN I DON'T GET SLEEP WHICH IS MOST NIGHTS THE NEXT DAY I CAN TELL.

Heat for me also, and being tired. Those are my biggee's walking alot get's my legs spasm'ing at nights..I don't have a problem with darkness yet...can't wait for that (sarcasm...)

There is a lot of possibilities.
keep in mind you have a messed-up, confused immune system. A sinus infection may or may not be compromising. I'm working through a summer cold right now - hopefully will be gone in two weeks.
Legs are unsteady, hand grippage is low, summer heat and humidity put me down, winter cold i am intrepid to travel in, i ride a scooter and a manual wheelchair as i really need that mobility, stress, sometimes noise - there are many contributors. I learnt to not be scared; every morning can be different.

Hi all..for me, it is mostly the heat and humidity. I can't get in a hot tub at all. I am in for a couple of minutes and I can't get out without help. Also, if I am out trying to walk a lot, like go with my husband to a store, I notice a big change for the next week with my overall health. Stress can excerbate systoms for me as well, but not all the time. I have not noticed any real connection to an attack and having a cold etc. I have had two major surgeries in the last 4 years and the MS laid low..no problem. Unlike others for me its cold and possibly humidity and some foods. I am still trying to figure out. I am fine in heat.

I FINALLY linked my bad attacks to taking airborne(not the supplement's fault, just not knowing I had MS at the time)don't take anything that attempts to BOOST immume system (ie,anything that says immume support, massive amount of vitamin C and so on)extreme heat, extreme cold,lack of sleep,having a BAD female cycle, too much stress, overdoing anything (shoppping, cleaning, etc) :) Amy

Heat itself is not a problem for me, but the elevation of temperature by sitting in a hot tub, exercising or having a fever really affects me. Stress, lack of sleep and eating certain foods (for me, I am sensitive to grains with gluten, dairy, high fats (especially saturated) and soy.
