My suggestion to you is to reasearch everything that goes into your body and find out what it does to you. I have lost 30 pounds and loosing more and I look up everything about my medication.

I'm starting Copaxone in the next few weeks and was wondering the same thing... the last thing I need is any more weight gain.. Trying to lose the 30lbs I gained from steroids from CA las yr...

Luckily I did not gain a pound during the steriods.

I was on Copaxone for about 3 months, but had to quit because of pretty bad side effects. I gained about 15 pounds during this time. I think weight gain is listed as a possible side effect of Copaxone, but many people don't experience any. I was also on a low dose antidepressant at the time so maybe that was the cuprit

I am going to try the rebif reluctantly. I have a insulin pump and pump sensor attached to me now, I just can't see sticking myself everyday at the moment.

I did not experience weight gain with rebif or copaxone, but everyone is different. I'm on Tysabri now and will have my 8th infusion today so far my weight has stayed the same. I'm thin about a size 6. I'm 5' 8" and my weight stays at 135.

Rebif didn't cause me any weight gain, but some of the other drugs they gave me for pain did cause it. I'm no longer taking those and getting back to normal.

Don't worry about the needle - it's REALLY tiny and you can use the auto-injector, so you'll hardly know about it. Well, except for the fact you're doing it 3 times per week. ;o)

hi i'm starting avonex tomorrow and that didnt even cross my mind gaining weight i just dont want the flu effect you get with it. we all have ms and lets think about toning up our muscles and getting stronger for our self and family. eating right even if your not sick and doing workout yoga and are minds. dont worry about weight . we have to worry about getting better and get back what we had before. my ms is seems be be all on my right side i cant walk as much as i use to with out getting tired but i can walk cant clean my house like i use to all at one time but now i do one thing aday at least i did one thing god family and friends will get us though are had times and talking to you all will help me. let all think positive and we are the same people even if we have ms. got me closer to my family and just on what i think is imporant every day and maybe this year they will have a pill or a cure for us and other people with ms. love april
