Hi there

I wonder if someone else has the same issue with their vision. I am still working full day, but have noticed in the past three weeks, that I start of being able to see my screen, but as the day progresses, my vision deteriorates and the screens become blurry/foggy, I have had to set my Spreed Sheet background to yellow and enlarge the font in able to assist with me being able to see detail, but by two pm, my brain does not even want to focus anymore and trying to work becomes more difficult.

I would appreciate any input you guys can provide. My Dad had MS and was completely blind when he passed, my mom is still around, but we have no contact as she has mental issues and I cannot allow her near out Autistic Daughter.

Really scared at the moment.

Two years ago my eyes did the same thing. I was working at the DMV and as it got harder for my eyes to focus on the screen I had to quite my job. Now after a while my eyes are better.

I'm here trying to help my best friend, who is in a nursing home about 1,000 miles away in another state. She feels terribly isolated. She told me she did not want to take her laptop to the NH for fear of theft. I discovered that there are cable secured locks to prevent laptop theft. Some even have sound alarms. I was so thrilled and couldn't wait to tell her. Then we could start e-mailing again.

Then she tells me that's a no-go because her eyes have deteriorated so badly she cannot read print any more. Now all that' left is telephone. I don't know if I can include her in my cell phone plan, with the third phone being in a different state. I don't mind paying for a third phone, just to keep i touch.

She feels so depressed and isolated, she really doesn't want to live any more. It's hard for me to believe that the people at the facility work with this kind of stuff every day but do little or nothing to help the people cope with their symptoms and feelings.

I feel like going out there and start kicking and screaming at the staff. THEY ARE THERE TO HELP THEIR PATIENTS I know that it isn't easy, but just taking a few minutes to listen to people's concerns and see what can be done to stimulate the remaining capabilities of the patients - is that too much to ask?
