Having seen the posts on this medication, I have several questions. How does this drug differ from the crab drugs? How is it administered? Is it as expensive as Avonex? What is its effectiveness? Why was it originally pulled?
Having picked up my Avonex perscription for the new calendar (perscription co pay deductible is at zero as we begin the new year), I was shocked at the price (my price, mind you): $380.00! All I could think of was, how can I continue to afford this drug every month?
I am looking for another drug which will be helpful for R/R MS, not have such yucky flu-like side effects, and be a lot cheaper. Am I asking for the moon here?
Any advice/info. would be appreciated. Once I get results from new MRI, who knows, I may be taken off the Avonex...

I had to be off immunity suppresants fof 3 months before starting tys such as pred. avonex and cellcept(canswer figthing and organ rejection).
It is administed by Iv and it taks roughly 2 hr 1hr they have to observe.
It is different for everybody. It suppose to stop the symptoms and you could work out to bring back your strength.
developed PML it is an infection of the brain. That is why thjey have to be so careful hope this helpful
