I used Tysabri for 2 years. 2 lesions disappeared & others got smaller. I freaked out when I tested positive for PML. (I forget what is looked for.) I wish I could still be using it.
Best of luck to you!
Chrissy
I have been on Tysabri for almost a year and a half. It was after about three infusions that I was found to be positive for PML. My neuro wants me to switch to Gilenya or BG-12 (as soon as it is available) early this spring.
The Tysabri has worked well for me. I enjoy the quiet time during the infusion as well as chatting with the nurses and other patients. It is a wonderful time to read a book or, many bring their lap tops or phones and do work or catch up on emails. It has not given me any problems or side effects. Sometimes I am a bit tired after my infusions. It may be a good idea to have someone drive you the first time or two to see how you do.
I wish you well!!
