Hey everyone,
I am new to the group. I am working with a fantastic neurologist to get a diagnosis, she is very very positive it is MS but I don't have enough lesions to get the diagnosis, yet. I have 4 on my spine but only one "cloudy" one in the brain. I am still awaiting steroid treatment, mostly its a scheduling issue. I have mobility issues on bad days making it hard to walk and my legs giving out from under me, I have the trademark MS hug, tremors that come with heat or bad days, I am losing my peripheral vision in my left eye (which makes me run into stuff), pain on bad days that makes me feel like I got hit by a train and on good days is just stiff, and fatigue that makes me feel like I am dragging a whale around some days and others like I am trying to run through sand. My PCP has me on Amitriptyline for sleep and pain, xanaflex for pain, Naproxen for pain, and zantac for gerd. I also meditated for an hour a day to deal with anxiety, depression and anger that comes with the disease and disabilities.
Anyway, today is almost 90 degrees out with a hundred percent humidity and my nerves feel twitchy, itchy, and tingly. Anyone else get like this? It makes me agitated too which leads to me focusing hard to keep from snapping at my family, pets, my phone, computer or anything that presses that agitated button further. The A/C and keeping cool is not helping the twitchy and itchy and tingly go away.

That's aweful weather. Sorry to hear about ur itching & scratching. My Neurologist dx me not only through the MRI, but my medical history. With several lesions on your spine I would think he would want to put u on preventive medicine so it does not progress.

Is she, your Neurologist, an MS Neurologist?

My neuro is not a ms neuro she is sending me to one of her colleagues on the 30th who is an ms neuro specialist.
