I have RRMS and have not had any of these tremors myself exactly; I only know of people who also have MS, that I've met in local support groups who expeience these terriable episodes. You need to speak with your Dr. which treatment is right for you.
The people with tremors in the live support group were in their later 40s that I used to attend when I was just diagnosed at 18. So I've always been "expecting" them to start for me as I am now 33.
The reason I said "I have not had any of these tremors myself EXACTLY." Is because I HAVE experienced a Hemifacial Spasm episode about 4 times! The first time with that awful monster I went to the emergency room; where the P.A. on duty told me it was "just a slight tremor, go home and get some sleep, it'll pass by tommorow".
No that horrid monster Hemi Facial Spasm did not pass in a few days even so I called my Neuro; He put me on the antiepileptic drug Dilantin. After a few days with this drug it slowed and eventually stopped the horriable tappings on my face/ skull. He also told me that it is not exactly a true tremor, as the P.A. said it was. But it was a side event of a flare-up of MS that anybody with the disease could experience.
I have had tremors before but not like that one. It almost felt like I was going into a seizure.
CASMIRA - Thanks again - Take care and I hope you stay well. Your reply really helped.
princesssg - I am 57 and I had symtoms around age 28 but was not dx until I was 55 so I must be right age for the tremors. I have not had the Hemi Facial Spasms but I can imagine that must have been extremely painful. I wish that people that have not experienced the pain that people with MS have would be just a little more compassionate and most are but sometimes you just get one that doesn't understand. Thanks again for your reply. It truly helped.
