Hi,
I am throwing this out here, not sure if it is ms related or something else (possibility of lupus is being looked at). Over the last while & getting worse my skin has been going bright red - looks like severe sunburn, it does this even when have trousers & long sleeve shirt or jacket on. It generally calms down once I am inside for a while but if it is warm inside ( like work) it gets hotter & more painful. Wrists, arm feet & legs swell too.
At the same time I am getting a lot more pain esp in the arms & legs & tingling a lot. Last night was the worst it has ever been, I went to bed as usual. I woke up about 5am extremely fidgety, felt like I had tingles, prickles or itchy & my skin was red on legs, arms & face. I had an antihistamin tablet, a cool shower & went back to sleep eventually. Today my skin hurts to be touched, wrists, feet & legs are still swollen but I have been cold all day. I can barely walk as left leg is shooting pain, foot is numb & my mind is like a fog. My hand has cramped & I cant straighten my fingers. I am not taking in what has been said to me & my speech is a bit crappy.
I am confused to whether this is ms, an infection or something different totally.
Any help or ideas will be appreciated.

i'm really sorry that you're going through this.
you said they are checking for lupus and that would have been my suggestion.

the combination of symptoms is a little baffling tho...
i have had some skin issues as well. yes its red as if sunburned frequently now. i also have weird bumps on random parts of my body.
i've had intense itching too, the kind that won't be satisfied by normal scratching and i draw blood frequently. frustrating.
all the pains, numbness etc is quite normal. just sounds like you have quite a bit going on at once.
