I think I can sleep standing up. My fatigue is horrible at times. I take amantadine every day. It helps some. You are definitely not alone with this.

I have issues with both sides. It started on my left. After a few months my right side started. Everybody is different though. I hope it gets better for you.

The fatigue is miserable for me as well. I can literally sleep 12 hours and wake up feeling like I hadnt slept at all.

As far as "one sided" well for the most part my left side seems to be affected more than my right. I am right handed and dominant righty so dont know if that has much to do with things. But I notice each time something is bothering me or a flare happens, my left side goes out first. Especially my left leg and knee at the moment. Its weird to me.

Hi, that has happened to me, usually when I haven't eaten well, my daughter sits me, feeds me and I'm ok. It's not sugar related, we already checked that, It's a weakness beyond control.

I know it hits either side, my daugther and I have opposite side weakness.

djbritt, hahaha..that's what I feel at times and told all my doctors pre-diagnosis too, that I can fall asleep standing up.

Some how that has gotten better but no matter what I drink coffee/dark tea, I fall asleep like a baby. I can hardly watch a movie to the end, but I have to wake up at 6 too, maybe that contributes more to this.

I am so fatigued at times. It just hits me and I immediately have to lay down. It''s not necessarily a physical tired, it can be a mental tired. It is a very strange debilitating fatigue.

My MS does not discriminate between sides. It takes both sides from me. Everyone's different!

It's usually just one side is weaker during a major flare up but my daily symptoms are all over... weakness, shakiness, twitches... and I've had many days I could not wake up and it would be 5 pm before I felt alert for the day.. It's a bad cycle to get in b/c you're up all night .. sleepy all day... miserable..

Oh yeah used to sleep for days and days...can never seem to feel awake or rested during bad days. Watch for triggers that exacerbate your symptoms --diet, stress, etc
I have mostly left sided issues, but sometimes attacks on right and on really bad flares my whole body lights up with pain and symptoms like christmas ;)

I think Fatigue gets the best of alot of us having no dx yet I still live this very life have and fight all of these same things daily !

My left side seems to take on most but am right handed. I've been in a battle nnow for over 6 weeks and no sign of things letting up it is attacking both sides , top and bottom ! My legs have really taken a big hit this go around very weak , also my hands seem to be cramping w/o being able to control that more in the am .

& then the sleep all day up all night ! I wont start on that but will sayI do have that problem also ... Husband just checks on me and lets me rest !

I wish I could be left to rest but my husband works 11 hour days and I am a stay at home mom with a 17 month old boy. Busy busy busy. I have had to have someone come and take my son some days because I have been so fatigued though. Im very lucky to have a huge support system!

I've had symptoms on both sides of my body. But usually each symptom is isolated to one side of the body. When my face went numb it was only on the left side. When my leg went numb it was only the left side. But I could see how some people may only get sx on one side of the body.
