2. Years on Tecfidera & 33 pounds heavier. Diet & exercise has not worked at all for me. The worst part of the weight gain is that it's all around my abdominal area. That's the most unhealthy place to have fat. I've come to the conclusion that only Lipo Suctionn will take the fat away. However, with 2 kids getting ready for college it's not going to happen now.

I do not remember reading that. There is an article in the previous issues of the MSAA magazine about Tec side effects but I do not remember (it was about memory and cognition LOL!). I will check this weekend and get back about the long terms side effects of Tec.

I don't see anything about weight gain. I would definitively talk to your doctor about weight gain. 25 - 30 lbs in a few months or 2 years is a lot to carry around. I hope your doctors can help you.

I am on Rebif and I hate the hangover or feeling lousy side effects but I haven't gained any weight since I have been on the drug since 2002.

Ezone I never gained any weight on Rebif either. I was on it for 4 years until my latest MRI revealed a breakthrough lesion on my C1 spine...thus the change to a new med (Tecfidera).

So sorry about the new lesion. I don't take MRIs that often. I probably have new lesions. I hate gaining weight but I did try Tecfedera. It didn't work for me. It actually caused MS symptoms come that didn't exist before. It was scary. I was feeling that my MS got worse. Luckily those new symptoms went away when I stopped taking Tec.

I wasn't on it long enough to know about weight but the other regular symptoms I didn't have them. Just new MS symptoms.

Just curious as to what types of MS symptoms did you have with Tecfidera ezone? Thanks
