Ichoppel seems many MSers are taking alpha lipoic acid, I might also jump on the band wagon.
However, it didn't work for me. Next I'm going to try 600 mg. of Malic Acid, 2x/day along with some magnesium. This combination is shown to help fatigue and reducing pain in Fibro patients and chronic fatigue syndrome, so it's worth a try!
Many have known about low D3 in MS patients and a larger military study that showed D3 was lower before MS starts. Well the below study is aimed at finding out if taking D3 AFTER you have MS helps treat the disease.
if you want to stay on your standard CRAB med and want to add D3 under this study go to http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/results?term=Multiple+Sclerosis+and+Vitamin+D3
Then pick one of the green recruiting options to enroll.
Look forward to reading the results.
Best wishes to all,

I was taking 1000, then 2000 iu a day. My Levels continued to drop despite taking a 50,000 iu D supplement for a month 3 times during this period. I researched. Found some MS patients were taking 5000 iu and did so myself.
After 5 months I consulted my Supplement Dr. He had a blood test done to check levels and they were at 41.
In his email he said to me " Optimal levels likely begin at 32 ng mL; I always shoot for the 40's for anyone with MS; so, I think yours is acceptable and would continue your current level of daily supplementation"
So that is my experience.
