I have read a lot of the previous posts here on the affects of stress on MS exacerbations. And I agree that it is a HUGE factor. In fact, I believe that the stress of being bitten by a dog was the catalyst for my transition from relapsing remitting MS to secondary progressive. And, now that I am secondary progressive, it seems to me that little, tiny every day stresses have huge effects on my body, my MS and how I feel. Things like; getting stuck at a red light when Im already late for work; leaving the house and forgetting my cell phone and having to go back to get it, rushing of any sort (to get the phone before it stops ringing, to make it to the movie theater before the movie starts, etc).these very minor things send my body into a state of furor. The thing is I cannot accurately describe the feeling. It is a general feeling of disquiet. It is pretty much from head to toe, but it is much worse on my weaker side and most times I can feel it strongly in my abdomen. Does anyone else know what I am talking about?
