Anyone else tried a new MS therapy/treatment lately?
Kesimpta is what I'd call a "mild" chemotherapy that goes after the B-cells with markers for being the rogue cells attacking the myelin, etc. I'm still in the "loading dose" phase with one more dose this Thurdsay before going to once monthly. The first injection (subcutaneous) caused some feverish chills, etc., but I think some of that may have been attributed to taking a pre-treatment of Tylenol with "Benadryl." I had heard the second injection would have fewer side effects but even so, after looking up the Benadryl side effects, I decided to pre-treat with only Tylenol the second time. Worked well. Only a mild leg weakness that time. I'm hopeful that this is going to help stop the active lesion symptoms I've been having since October, seems to already be getting started on that, off an on.
