Started Acthar Yesterday

I started Acthar last night, not too bad so far. Wow what a big fat needle!!!! I really wasnt too bad but I really hope it works for my relapse .

Any experiences with this med anyone?

it is instead of steroids. an injection u take yourself.

I don't have experience with it but my first MS mentor who had MS for 30 years before I meet him told me this is what they used before steroids & it was magical. It improved his relapses so quickly, he was disappointed when they started using Steroids instead.

I hope your experience is the same.

I hope so to. So far dont notice difference(after 2 shots). I cant sleep at night between leg pain and restlessness. Last night I cried for 3 hours straight (side effect). I am praying this works.

I hope this works for you. I've researched it as well and bookmarked the website for the next time my doctor tells me to take steroids. The steroids didn't work for me the last two times and I hate having an IV.

I am really excited to hear about this alternative medication.
